A 80ª entrega do Globo de Ouro aconteceu na noite desta terça-feira em meio a incertezas. Depois que o prêmio viu sua continuidade ameaçada por uma série de acusações que iam de suborno a racismo, a pompa e o prestígio de outrora foram ameaçados.
Ao menos é o que a mudança de data, dos domingos nobres à terça-feira insossa, e a falta de transmissão da cerimônia em países como o próprio Brasil indicavam. Por outro lado, nomes como Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino e Guillermo Del Toro estiveram na festa, dando a entender que havia caminho para a redenção.
Spielberg, aliás, foi coroado com as estatuetas de melhor diretor e melhor filme por seu “Os Fabelmans”, que ainda não estreou no Brasil.
Entre os atores premiados está Angela Bassett, que levou a estatueta de melhor atriz coadjuvante por seu papel em “Pantera Negra: Wakanda para Sempre”. Ke Huy Quan e Michelle Yeoh, de “Tudo em Todo Lugar ao Mesmo Tempo”, também saíram laureados.
Venceram também Tyler James Williams e Quinta Brunson, que atuam em “Abbott Elementary”, produção que levou a estatueta de melhor série de comédia ou musical.
“The White Lotus”, uma das séries recentes mais populares da HBO, foi agraciada com o prêmio de melhor minissérie, antologia ou telefilme. Jennifer Coolidge, que interpreta Tanya na produção, também saiu premiada.
